The Municipality of Achaia is an area combining natural and historical sites in a unique way. It is, therefore, the ideal destination for Greek and foreign tourists alike. The mountain and sea areas make up an impressive contrast, being at a very short distance from one another. Traditional villages, archaeological and religious monuments and buildings of impressive architecture are surrounded by the unique perfection of the natural landscape and rare habitats.
Some careful technological interventions were made in an effort to approach and promote these sights. All the above make up a fascinating whole that offers various opportunities to those wishing to make a journey to the legends of this hospitable place and
people. The capital is Patra.
To name a few archaeological and religious sites in Patras:
Roman Fort. Built approximately 800 meters (2,400 ft) from the coast, in the area of the ancient Acropolis of Ioustinianos. It reveals an important part of the historical background of the city.
