The video encoder can feed power to the small covert camera that is included in the AXIS M7001 Covert Surveillance Kit.The kit consists of one AXIS M7001 Video Encoder and one small IP66-rated covert camera.

1-Port PoE Midspan: The device is designed to meet the IEEE802.3af standard.
The Power over Ethernet (PoE) Midspan adds 48VDC to unused (non-data) wires in a standard Category 5 Ethernet cable. As a result, the PoE Midspan delivers
both data and power to the terminal (in this case to the Axis M7001 Video Encoder).
