Το λογισμικό AXIS Media Control, είναι η προτεινόμενη μέθοδος για να βλέπετε το video όταν χρησιμοποιείτε τον Internet Explorer. Εγκαθιστάται αυτόματα με την πρώτη χρήση, και κατόπιν μπορεί να ρυθμισθεί από τον πίνακα ελέγχου, ανοίγοντας το AMC Control Panel applet. Απαιτήσεις:

Axis License Agreement This is a legal agreement between you (either individual or an entity) and Axis Communications AB. By downloading the SOFTWARE, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement. AXIS SOFTWARE LICENSE 
1. GRANT OF LICENSE. Axis grants to you the right to use the SOFTWARE. The SOFTWARE is in "use" on a computer when it is loaded into temporary memory (i.e. RAM) or installed into permanent memory (e.g. hard disk, CD-ROM or other storage device) of that computer.2. COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is owned by Axis and is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore you must treat the SOFTWARE like any other copyrighted material (e.g. a book or a musical recording) except that you may either (a) make a copy of the SOFTWARE solely for backup or archival purposes or (b) transfer the SOFTWARE to a single hard disk provided you keep the original solely for backup purposes. 3. OTHER RESTRICTIONS. You may not rent or lease the SOFTWARE but you may transfer SOFTWARE and accompanying written materials on a permanent basis provided that you retain no copies and the recipient agrees to the terms of this agreement. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SOFTWARE. If the SOFTWARE is an update or has been updated, any transfer must include the most recent update and all previous versions. GOVERNING LAW. This agreement shall be deemed performed in and shall be construed by the laws of Sweden. DISCLAIMER THE SOFTWARE IS DELIVERED FREE OF CHARGE AND 'AS IS' WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE IS ASSUMED BY YOU/THE USER. AXIS COMMUNICATIONS AB DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ANY WARRANTY ARISING OUT OF ANY PROPOSAL, SPECIFICATION OR SAMPLE WITH RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE. Windows Media Format 9 Series Runtime Το WMFDist.exe είναι ένα πακέτο του Windows Media Format
και περιέχει Windows πολυμέσα και ήχο. Το πακέτο WMFDist.exe περιέχει αρχεία Windows Media Format 9 Series Runtime της Microsoft.
Η εγκατάσταση απαιτείται για την υποστήριξη ζωντανής προβολής και καταγραφής σε φορμά .ASX στο AXIS Media Control.
Η σύνθετη μορφή ροής (Advanced Streaming Format - ASF) είναι μία από τις μορφές πολυμέσων ροής που υποστηρίζεται από το Windows Media Player.
Εγκατάσταση του Windows Media Format Runtime Το Windows Media Format Runtime (WMFR) χρησιμοποιείται για την δημιουργία αρχείων video υψηλής ευκρίνειας για Windows. Αυτό είναι το φορμά που το AMC χρησιμοποιεί για να αποθηκεύσει το καταγεγραμμένο video. Εάν το WMFR δεν είναι ήδη εγκατεστημένο στον υπολογιστή σας, τότε όταν κάνετε εγκατάσταση του AMC, θα γίνει προτροπή να το εγκαταστήσετε.  Σημ. Το WMFR περιλαμβάνεται στα Windows XP SP2, και εγκαθίσταται αυτόματα όταν κάνετε τη λήψη και εγκατάσταση του XP SP2.Εάν το WMFR δεν εγκατασταθεί, τότε δεν μπορείτε να καταγράψετε εικόνα και ήχο με το AMC.
