HellasCams - Hellenic Radio Television ET3 - Weather Forecast

An agreement between Hellenic Public Television (ET3) and HellasCams®. During the main news bulletin, the Weather Forecast will include Live Images provided by HellasCams® Network from Greek cities

Hellenic Television ET3 is the first whom upgraded the weather forecast by adding the technology of live network cameras.

Now the weather forecaster Mr. Sakis Arnaoutoglou with the traditional weather maps and satellite images has the advantage describing current weather conditions. While showing viewer’s images of the weather and certain cities of Greece the equipment of Live Network Cams brings up to date descriptions.

Note: The broadcast of the bulletin with the use of live video was on 2005 and was lasted for about 3 months.

Today, ET3 is the biggest - and only - regional television channel in Greece, with nationwide coverage.
On a daily basis, ET3 records through its shows and news bulletins the rural developments, as well as the activities and the interests of citizens living outside major urban centres, with live links to its regional studios and with reports from regional Greece, the Balkans and the rest of Europe.

Little by little, ET3 embraces regional Greece and records with consistency, as well as and a great sense of responsibility, its economical, social and political affairs. Regional ET3 studios are already operating in the cities of Florina, Komotini, Alexnadroupolis, as well as on the islands of Paros, Mytilini and Samos.
Equipped with state-of-the-art systems for image and sound reception and processing, the third TV channel of public television, broadcasts a 24-hour program, 58% of which consists of internal productions, while the rest consists of co-productions and leased programs.

In detail, 60% of the program consists of informational programs and news bulletins, 10% are sports programs, 8% are entertainment, music and children's programs, 12% are movies and documentaries, 5% are educational programs and 5% are cultural programs.
The main features of its program are sociability, balance and quality. Based on sociability, ET3 does not limit its programs within the walls of the two major Greek urban centres, but in its pursuit for pluralism and diversity of opinions, it achieves balance in its program, while the quality of its programs verify the motto "society's television", as opposed to the virtual reality of "society of the television".
