Healthcare: Clinicians and support staff are under greater pressure than ever before to deliver better patient care in the face of lower staffing levels and tighter resources. With HellasCams Network Video Monitoring solutions, hospitals and healthcare foundations can help hospital staff to maintain a more complete picture of what’s happening in operating theatres, recovery rooms, staff quarters and other buildings across an extended campus and across multiple sites.
Network cameras sited in care wards or rest areas can allow clinical staff to monitor the status of patients under observation, during surgery or in recovery. Since video images can be monitored from a standard PC and web browser at any location, busy staff can observe and care for more patients with reduced staffing levels, allowing surgical and nursing staff to handle more patients spread across a wider geographical area.
Teaching staff can enhance the learning process by providing students with a
"close-up" view of operating procedures from a lecture theatre or tuition room without disturbing clinical staff and reducing the risk of patient infection. Network cameras can also keep a watchful eye over hospital staff and their property in corridors, car parks, walkways and building entrances offering greater staff security, minimising theft and boosting employee morale.

(2) What is the AXIS Media Control?
AXIS Media Control is the ActiveX component used for viewing and handling media streams originated by Axis video products.
The AXIS Media Control can be controlled independently of the Axis product's Web pages, where it is embedded, by using the provided toolbar. Advanced properties can be configured by using the AXIS Media Control applet provided in the Control Panel.
(3) When you access the camera for first time you will be prompted to install and run the "AXIS Media Control".
Click the button [YES]
(4) Now you can see video but this is Motion JPEG video format and does not support audio. Audio is supported only by MPEG-4. So, from the tab [Video format]
select <MPEG-4>.
(5) Once you selected <MPEG-4>
the below will show-up on your screen along with a message:

Click here to install or upgrade the MPEG-4 and AAC Decoder.
MPEG-4 and AAC Decoder, which enables streaming video in Microsoft Internet Explorer, has not been installed or could not be registered on this computer.
To install or upgrade the MPEG-4 and AAC Decoder, you must have Administration rights on this computer and you must answer Yes when asked if you wish to allow the installation. AXIS 207 can also be configured to show still images.
(6) The above prompt means that you have to install on your PC the MPEG-4 decoder (MPEG-4 decoders will only be installed when accessing MPEG-4
products).
To proceed to the installation click on the link [Click here to install or upgrade the MPEG-4 and AAC Decoder].
(7) Next will pop-up a new window with the Axis Licence Agreement. Read the terms and conditions.
(8) Scroll-down to the end of the License agreement, check the button [I accept the License agreement] and click the [OK]
button.
(9) Once again, you will be prompted to install and run the "AXIS Media Control".
Click the button [YES]
(10) Close the window that remains open by clicking the [Close] button.
(11) The installation has been completed and the system is ready to send you video and audio. On
the tool bar click the Play button .
(12) You get live video and audio from the place where the camera is installed. You may even test it by making a call to the
PDA/Mobile Phone that is in front of the camera. Turn-on your PC speakers and listen the phone ringing. You'll also see the
backlight of the PDA turning-on. Of course, you will get no answer. Please note that this a regular mobile phone number and
there is not any charge for the unanswered call or calls!
