Worth visiting | The Kalavrita Town and the Mega Spileo Monastery | The Legendary Mount of Helmos |
| The Monastery of Ayia Lavra | The village of Planitero | The Tsivlou Lake |
| The Doxa Lake | The Aristarchos Telescope|

The fairy-tale-like lake lying in the middle of fir trees is a rewarding sight. The landscape is dream-like; magic

There are three different roads which lead to this charming and unique lake.
One starts from Kalavrita, reaches the ski centre, turns left and ends at the Lake after going through Peristera village. It is worth stopping for a while in this small beautiful village and enjoying a sweet dipped in syrup and an original Greek coffee under the tall and age-old plane trees, while gazing at the whole area from up there.
This square is, in fact, a large balcony with a unique view.

The other road begins from Akrata, a seaside village near the national Athens-Patras road. The road goes through the villages of Pyrgos and Valimi and ends up at the lake.

The third route, which is also the best, takes us through Souvardo, but can be difficult for some cars. You need a jeep or a utility vehicle, as the road after Souvardo is a dirt track with a lot of uphill and downhill slopes, ditches and stones left there after the winter waters have dried up.

The lake is only supplied by rain water (not much of it during the long Greek summer) and its surrounded by mountains.
Walked around the lake and you couldn't see any (even small) sources of water running into it.
The place is FANTASTIC and unbelievably tranquil, and you could stay there for days and days. The only sounds are coming from birds.
