Safety is always a serious concern at winter resorts. Just follow seven simple rules - "YOUR RESPONSIBILITY CODE" - and you'll be doing a big favor to yourself and everyone else on the slopes. Always stay in control. People ahead have the right of way. Stop in a safe place for you and others. Whenever starting downhill or merging, look uphill and yield. Use devices to help prevent runaway equipment. Observe signs and warnings, and keep off closed trails. Know how to use the lifts safely. This is a partial list. Be safety conscious. Here are some other guidelines to help you have fun on the slopes: Apply at least 15 spf broad-spectrum sunscreen, regardless of whether the day is sunny or cloudy. Drink water frequently to avoid the dehydrating effects of high altitude, sun and physical activity. Dress in layers with breathable, water-wicking clothes that can be added or subtracted with changes in weather.
