Make a trip to Pheneos and visit the small artificial lake of Doxa
(in Greek means Glory) which lies in between verdurous fir forests. In the middle of the lake, the small church of
St. Fanourios comes into view. High up on the mountains stands the Monastery of
St. George, with the "secret school" and a magnificent view of the lake.
Mountainous Corinthia is a very popular destination that attracts people interested in short expeditions and new experiences. Its villages are picturesque as they have avoided excessive tourist development. |
